Collaborators

This project is a collaborative effort between Gabriel Lam and Vincent Lee.
Gabriel leads the user experience design, focusing on creating intuitive interfaces for researchers to access and process satellite data effectively.

Overview

Empowering Earth Science Research

SlideRule is designed to process and serve data from ICESat-2 (Ice, Cloud and land Elevation Satellite), NASA's advanced satellite mission for measuring ice sheet elevation, sea ice thickness, and Earth's vegetation.

ICESat-2 Mission

A satellite mission using advanced laser technology to measure Earth's elevation changes, particularly focusing on polar ice sheets, sea ice, and global vegetation structure.

Data Processing

SlideRule provides researchers with real-time access to processed satellite data through REST APIs, supporting both Python and Node.js clients for easy integration.

Impact

Looking Forward

SlideRule is currently in production pre-release phase, with public launch expected in late 2024, promising to transform how researchers access and process Earth science data.
